Blessing Dress

I took a children's sewing class this winter semester and one of our projects was to make a blessing dress. There were a lot of dresses with lace, frills and ruffles but I stuck to a more simple and elegant look - a smoother sort of look and feel. Surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I don't know if I would mass produce them, but I don't think I will be afraid to try another dress, maybe like a summer one. Who knows. We just need to have us a girl, sometime in the future to use it on. Someday.

BeforeAfter

I have been on a sewing spree since Josh spoiled me with an amazing machine for Christmas, and since he decided to blow out a pair of work jeans every other day, I have been constantly at the table repairing jeans and thus needed some more variety. So this was what we had in our kitchen before and this is what I put together in a couple of hours. I am super excited about the color they bring into our brown abode. It really adds a comfy feel to our kitchen.
