I took a children's sewing class this winter semester and one of our projects was to make a blessing dress. There were a lot of dresses with lace, frills and ruffles but I stuck to a more simple and elegant look - a smoother sort of look and feel. Surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I don't know if I would mass produce them, but I don't think I will be afraid to try another dress, maybe like a summer one. Who knows. We just need to have us a girl, sometime in the future to use it on. Someday.
When they speak, we listen.

Jordelle! I love you and miss you! :) I love the photos you recently posted on your family blog and seeing your mom reminded me of your baby shower for Michael. Corbin still has red hair too, but it has really bleached out in the summer sun. The poor boy doesn't tan, either. Oh well, we just cake on the sunscreen. :)
ReplyDeleteI also took the children's clothing sewing class at school and made a blessing dress. Ayda wore it for her blessing and nearly slipped out of their hands! They had a hard time holding onto her with all the slick fabric it was made of.
