Leather covers

This is a leather cover I made for my quads. Josh was coming up with business ideas for his business group for school. His idea came in second because it was so awesome, but it was too hard to guarantee a perfect set of scripture covers every time. (As you can see, mine are not perfect, it is a little tough sewing through leather, but not impossible.) I am going to try another pair

I love the backside fabric, and frontside too.

Here are the covers for our hymn book. This was the last thing I sewed together, so it came together a lot better than the rest. Perfect practice makes perfect.

Here is the first set I made. Not too bad I think.

Food and wood

Have you had that amazing pretzel, cream cheese, jello salad before? Well it is so delicious, now that I have learned to like pretzels a little more. I still don't love them, but underneath all this yummy goodness, it is definitely manageable. I put peaches into the jello instead of berries and it tasted so yummy!

I'm on a homemade making spree and took a wack at granola. Wow, it is delicious in its still gooey state and so good and filling for breakfast. Give it a try and you just might enjoy it! (I don't always have all the extra stuff, so just put in what you got. I put whole, frozen, blueberries as it cooks to dry them.)

I made this for my grandma and it is an Irish saying that goes with this:
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

I learned how how to make a piece of wood look a little better and I love modge podge, especially when the vinyl is kind of old. Helps it stay on.
